FreedomWorks for America Urges Conservatives in NC-02 to Defeat Renee Ellmers

FreedomWorks for America today urged conservatives in North Carolina’s Second Congressional District to turn out Tuesday, June 7 to vote for Rep. George Holding (R-N.C.) in the Republican primary and send a message to the Washington Republican establishment, who, along with Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-N.C.), have sold out conservatives.

“Renee Ellmers is no friend of conservatives. She has proven herself to be a vote for bigger government and more spending. She has no real core principles. Her only interests are rent-seeking special interests to whom she sold out when she voted for the crony Ex-Im Bank and to bust the spending caps,” said FreedomWorks for America National Grassroots Director Noah Wall. “There have been some last-minute endorsements in this race. But conservative voters in North Carolina’s Second District should remember Matthew 7:15: ‘Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.’”

“George Holding is the only credible conservative in this race. We hope conservatives will fight off the wolves and nominate him tomorrow,” Wall added.
