Using the FLS Phone Banking System
This blog is a step-by-step tutorial for using the FLS Connect phone banking system.
The video below also takes you through the steps from beginning to end.
Get started by going to Freedomworksforamerica.org
On the homepage, click on the blue "make phone calls" button in the lower right side.
On the next page, you'll be asked to sign in to FreedomConnector. If you haven't yet created a FreedomConnector account, you'll be directed to do so. You can also create an account at freedomconnector.com
After logging in, you'll be directed to the FLS homepage. Click "begin calling" on the top rail.
Next, you'll be prompted to choose which campaign you would like to make calls for.
Choose from this list of FreedomWorks for America endorsed candidates.
On the next screen, select "Regular/Cell Phone" and enter the phone number of the phone you will be making calls from. Remember, your phone will not be charged for any calls made.
Click "click to begin" and then the big green "call now" button. The system will call your phone.
This page will give you several important pieces of information, including:
- The voter's name,
- A script for both live calls and voicemails,
- Several options for voter identification purposes.
During your call, fill in the information fields with the responses the voter gives you.
When you're finished, press the green "submit & hang up" button. DO NOT HANG UP YOUR PHONE!
The system will keep you connected so that you can cycle through to the next call with the next voter.
After pressing the button, your screen will cycle through to the next voter, where you can again press "call now" to begin the call. This is why it is important that you do not hang up your phone after the call.
After you've completed as many calls as you would like, click on the big red "end call session" button at the bottom of the page. This will disconnect your phone from the system and save all of your calls.
You will be directed to a session summary page, and you can log out of FreedomConnector on the top rail.
Using this system will allow you to help campaign for good conservative candidates that may not be running in your area, and help us to "nationalize" key races that will have a big impact on the make-up of Congress.
