FWFA Campaigns Update
As the final six weeks of the election cycle approaches, activists have been putting the pedal to the metal to ‘Get Out The Vote’ at full speed. In true grassroots fashion, volunteers from around the country have been making their voices heard by sign blitzing, knocking on their neighbors’ doors, and phone banking. As November 6 gets closer, the sense of urgency to take back the Senate and to fire Obama grows. As shown in Indiana with Richard Mourdock and in Texas with Ted Cruz, talking to your friends and neighbors about electing a fiscally responsible candidate works!
In Ohio, Dave Zupan and others have been effectively using the Adopt-A-Highway sign blitzing technique, which was described at length HERE. These signs are reaching thousands of voters every day.
Other groups in Ohio have been organizing and executing great door-to-door voter canvassing on Saturday afternoons, distributing FWFA palm cards, door hangers, and fact books.
In Florida, Victory Centers have been established throughout the state as a headquarters for activists to acquire materials, make phone calls, pick up some walking maps, and of course meet some other great activists! Here is a picture of the Orlando Victory Center:
Many people are eager to make a difference, but do not live in a swing state or a state with a Senate race. Fear not. FreedomWorks for America’s phone banking allows users to make calls for any candidate that FWFA has endorsed. If you are not comfortable making phone calls, activists from out of state are mailing hand-written letters to voters telling them why the election is important to them and asking them to vote for a specific candidate. For example, folks in the Southeast are sending postcards to voters in Florida, asking them to replace liberal Senator Bill Nelson with Congressman Connie Mack:
Let others know they can make a difference by using these ideas and if you have yet to begin the “GOTV” activities in your neighborhood, it’s not too late!
